  • Had served as Chairman, Scope - Shipping and Scope - Air, (Special Committee for Promotion of Exports)

  • Had served as Chairman of the Committee for Report of the Reserve Bank of India on Export Credit; dealt with EU and ESCAP. Was responsible for negotiating and initialling the current third Agreement between India and the EU.

  • Chairman of the Committee for Clearance of Indian Joint Ventures, projects in foreign countries.

  • While serving as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, New Delhi during March 1988 - January 1990, was responsible for negotiating as official leader of the delegation and signed on behalf of India, the UN Convention on Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes.  

  • While serving as the Chairman, Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Gandhinagar, had been the Nominee Director of the Gujarat Industrial Investment Corporation on the Board of a company. This posting as Chairman, Gujarat Pollution Control Board in a highly industrialized state was due to the rich experience in industrial development.  

  • As Deputy Secretary / Director, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, New Delhi during April 1974 - October 1976, also functioned as Director (Transport) involving shipping and air-cargo operations for exports. Also served as a Member of the Board of a subsidiary of the State Trading Corporation of India.
